Description

The Saskatchewan Health Authority is seeking permanent full-time Nurse Practitioners (NPs) to work in select rural and remote communities within Saskatchewan that are eligible for the $40,000 NP Relocation Grant:
Goodsoil (GO-00647903); Ile a la Crosse (GO-00647991); Kamsack (GO-00655163-1); La Loche (GO-00647992); Meadow Lake (GO-00647904); Shaunavon (GO-00576649-3). NP Relocation Grant Details: Paid out after completing each year of service for a total of $40,000 over 5 years 1) $5,000; 2) $5,000; 3) $6,000; 4) $10,000; 5) $14,000.
The NP blends an in-depth knowledge of nursing with their legal authority and autonomy to order diagnostic tests, prescribe pharmaceuticals and perform specific procedures in the management and treatment of illnesses and stable chronic conditions. The practice involves working within the nursing program objectives, guidelines, and policies and procedures; building partnerships, completing community needs assessments; supporting inter-professional collaboration; and participating in continuous improvements through evaluative processes/projects.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Nursing; RN/NP Program; Advanced Cardiac Life Support; Basic Life Support; Registered or eligible for registration with College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS); two to five years experience as a Nurse Practitioner; Knowledge, Skills and Abilities – Good Communication, Interpersonal, Problem Solving, Decision Making, Computer, and
Assessment Skills; Ability to adapt to changing conditions; Knowledge of diverse health issues, culture and traditions; Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
