As the Nurse Practitioner, you collaborate with residents and other members of the interdisciplinary team to identify and assess trends and patterns that have implications for residents, families and communities.

In this role you develop and implement population and evidence based strategies to improve health and participates in policy-making activities that influence health services and practices. The position participates in peer review and self review to evaluate the outcome of services at the resident, community and population level.

This position is located at Aberdeen Hospital, a Long-Term Care (LTC) home in Victoria. Aberdeen Hospital offers specialized respiratory (vents/trachs), complex medical & regular complex care LTC services to residents, along with a LTC & community respite unit. It is within walking distance of Hillside Centre, featuring grocery shopping, books, clothes, gifts and many more amenities. It is also close to the city bus routes.

– Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing NP registrant (or eligibility).
– Successful completion of the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE).
– Two years of recent, relevant clinical nursing experience
