DESCRIPTION:Description\n\n\n\nThe Cannabinoids in Clinical Practice Conference is a co-hosted event by the Canadian Consortium for the Investigation of Cannabinoids (CCIC) and Toronto Cannabis and Cannabinoid Research Consortium (TC3) and serves as Canada’s most comprehensive forum on the science behind cannabis\, its potential therapeutic benefits and the societal and health impacts of legalization of non-medical cannabis from leading researchers and physicians in the field. This symposium will present the science of the endocannabinoid system\, risks\, efficacy\, and how to approach cannabinoids as an option in patient care\, as well as have educated discussions with patients about the known impacts of cannabis use on health and disease. After participating in this event\, attendees will: \n\n\n\nBuild on their existing understanding of cannabinoids in clinical practice by integrating all the latest updates on the endocannabinoid system\, medical and non-medical cannabinoids\, and public health and policy issues related to cannabis/cannabinoids. \n\n\n\nDescribe Canadian cannabinoid research initiatives \n\n\n\nDistinguish between actual and potential health risks and benefits of cannabinoids. \n\n\n\nReflect on professional attitudes towards cannabis in clinical practice. \n\n\n\nDiscuss areas of need for cannabinoid research\, education and collaboration. \n\n\n\nLocation\n\n\n\nHart House Building in Toronto\, ON (7 Hart House Cir\, Toronto\, ON M5S 3H3) \n\n\n\nRegistration\n\n\n\nhttps://ccic.net/ccic-conference/registration/
