SUMMARY:Issues of Substance Conference - subsidy applications
DESCRIPTION:If you’re planning to attend CCSA’s Issues of Substance conference in November\, we are currently accepting applications for a limited number of subsidies in three categories:Conference PresenterConference ParticipantPeople with Lived or Living ExperienceApplication Deadline \n\n\n\nDeadline extended! You can now apply for all subsidy categories until Wednesday\, May 10\, 11:59 p.m.\, EDT. Only applications received by the deadline will be considered by CCSA. \n\n\n\nShortly after the deadline\, all applications will be evaluated\, and applicants will be notified of CCSA’s decision. \n\n\n\nPresenter Subsidies \n\n\n\nIf you submitted an abstract to deliver either an oral presentation (20 or 60 minutes) or an interactive learning workshop (90 minutes) at CCSA’s Issues of Substance 2023 conference\, you are eligible to apply for a presenter subsidy. \n\n\n\nSubsidies of up to $1\,000 are available to assist with conference expenses for presenters at CCSA’s Issues of Substance 2023. If you’re a presenter who is awarded a subsidy\, you will also receive a complimentary conference registration. \n\n\n\nPlease note that CCSA will only award only one presenter subsidy per abstract. You can apply by submitting the requirements outlined on the Issues of Substance website. \n\n\n\nConference Participant Subsidies \n\n\n\nTo qualify for a participant subsidy\, you must work or volunteer in the substance use or addictions field in Canada. To maximize the opportunity for knowledge transfer\, we will only award one subsidy per organization. \n\n\n\nTo apply for a participant subsidy\, please complete the application form on the Issues of Substance website. \n\n\n\nSubsidies for People with Lived or Living Experience \n\n\n\nSubsidies are available to support individuals with lived or living experience with substance use or family and friends affected by substance use. \n\n\n\nTo apply for this subsidy\, please indicate that you have lived or living experience and complete the application form on the Issues of Substance website. \n\n\n\nNeed Help? \n\n\n\nIf you need assistance with filling out the online application forms or have any questions regarding the subsidy program\, please contact ios-subsidies@ccsa.ca. \n\n\n\nCCSA looks forward to receiving your subsidy application.
