Call for Reviewers – Canadian Nurse Practitioner Journal
The Canadian Nurse Practitioner Journal (CNPJ) invites applications from qualified individuals interested in serving as Peer Reviewers. Reviewers play a vital role in maintaining the scholarly quality and relevance of articles published in the journal, contributing to the growth of evidence-based nurse practitioner (NP) practice in Canada.
About the Role
Peer Reviewers critically assess submitted manuscripts and provide constructive, timely feedback to authors and editors. Reviewers evaluate the clarity, originality, methodological rigor, and relevance of each submission to ensure the publication of high-quality scholarly work.
Qualifications
We are seeking individuals who:
· Have experience in academic writing, research, or clinical expertise relevant to NP practice.
· Can critically appraise research, literature reviews, clinical articles, or policy analyses.
· Are committed to providing objective, respectful, and helpful feedback.
· Possess a strong command of academic writing and the principles of scholarly review.
· Bilingual (French and English) is an asset.
· Prior peer-review experience is an asset, but not required. Mentorship and guidance will be provided to new reviewers.

Call for Applications: Associate Editor – Canadian Nurse Practitioner Journal
The Canadian Nurse Practitioner Journal (CNPJ) is seeking qualified and motivated individuals to join our editorial team as Associate Editors. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the advancement of nurse practitioner (NP) practice, research, education, and policy across Canada.
Role and Responsibilities
Associate Editors play a critical role in maintaining the quality and relevance of content published in the CNPJ. Responsibilities include:
· Assessing submitted manuscripts for relevance, quality, and alignment with the journal’s scope.
· Managing the peer-review process in collaboration with the Editor-in-Chief.
· Communicating effectively with authors, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
· Addressing reviewer comments and author responses to ensure clarity, academic rigor, and scholarly integrity.
· Promoting the journal within your professional networks.
Qualifications
Ideal candidates will have:
· Experience as an author, reviewer, or editor in academic publishing (editorial experience is an asset).
· Demonstrated writing and editing proficiency.
· A strong understanding of nurse practitioner practice, education, and/or research in Canada.
· The ability to critically appraise scholarly work and guide manuscripts through the review process.
· Commitment to advancing the NP profession through high-quality scholarly dissemination.
· Bilingual: French and English (an asset)
