Description

Bring your clinical expertise and passion for a patient-centred care to a dynamic and rewarding role as a nurse practitioner at one of our Urgent and Primary Care Centres (UPCC)

This role offers exceptional flexibility and the chance to be part of a supportive, collaborative practice environment. Scheduling is coordinated as a team, taking into account individual availability and shift preferences, with flexible shift lengths and opportunities for day, evening and weekend work. You’ll contribute meaningfully to patient care within a strong, team-based model that values both autonomy and collaboration.

The Urgent and Primary Care Centre (UPCC) uses a team-based care approach, which could include family physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurse team lead, primary care registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, social workers, physiotherapists, mental health counsellors, medical office assistants, and a dedicated operational manager to provide urgent and primary care to both attached and unattached patients in the region. The UPCC provides urgent care for patients with non-life-threatening injuries, illnesses and conditions that should be addressed within 12 to 24 hours, but do not require the resources of a hospital emergency department (CTAS 3, 4, 5).

Requirements

Master’s Degree in Nursing (NP) or equivalent.
Current Nurse Practitioner certification with the applicable regulatory body.
Previous experience in a clinical or healthcare setting, with the ability to diagnose, treat, and manage patient care is considered an asset.
