Description
Provide primary health care services to the community (health promotion/protection, disease and injury prevention, & provision of supportive, instructive treatment). Implement therapeutic/pharmacotheraputic interventions for chronic/stable & common conditions. Utilize & synthesize appropriate health assessment & differential diagnosis of client/patient status. Assess need for ordering & interpreting appropriate laboratory/radiology & ultrasound diagnostic tests. Work with clients/family & health providers to develop & implement holistic treatment/interventions & support. Be part of an interdisciplinary team in Whitecap Dakota & surrounding areas. Provide educational support for students (nursing, medicine & other disciplines). Support/participate in multi level chronic disease management strategies (individual, family & community). Assist individual/families & communities to increase knowledge, control & influence of health determinants in the maintenance/improvement of health status.
Requirements
Experience
Two (2) years advanced RN (NP) in applicable area
Three years fulltime experience as a Registered Nurse
Education
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
Licenses
Valid Class 5 driver’s license
Other Education and Training
Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
Nursing diploma is acceptable

Whitecap is located approximately 26 km south of Saskatoon
One (1) year nursing experience in a primary health care setting preferred
