Dr. Breanna Lloy DN RN-NP works in a 75% position as Nurse Practitioner clinician scientist and professional practice leader at Nova Scotia Health and 25% in a rural emergency department in Nova Scotia. She also teaches sessionally in the Nurse Practitioner program at Dalhousie University. She recently finished her Doctor of Nursing from University of Toronto with a thesis focus on new graduate Nurse Practitioner transition to practice.
NP Melanie Dunlop works 50% as a Provincial Practice Leader in Nova Scotia and 50% as an Acquired Brain Injury (Neurology) Nurse Practitioner and is the past-president for the NP Association of NS (NPANS). In her ABI role, she is fortunate to be a member of the Canstroke Platform; a national platform for Neuro-rehabilitation research. She is in her first year of a PhD program through Dalhousie University and her research interests include mechanisms to promote representation of women in stroke trials and NP recruitment and retention. She is a sessional lecturer and lab assistant at Dalhousie University (NP Program).
