The Sunshine Coast Primary Care Network (PCN) is hiring Nurse Practitioners (NPs) for flexible contract opportunities, including full-time, part-time, and practice-share arrangements.
We have openings at three team-based care facilities on the Sunshine Coast:
- Pender Harbour Health Centre (PHHC) – Pender Harbour
- PCN Team-Based Care Hub – Sechelt
- shíshálh Community Services Division Health Department – Located within the shíshálh Nation Government District
Job Details

Compensation (Full-time, adjusted proportionally for part-time work)
- Full-time Salary: $171,533 (Year 1); $177,251 (Year 2); $182,968 (Year 3)
- Incentives: $6,500/year for Patient Attachment System and Panel Management
- Overhead Coverage: $75,000 per 1.0 FTE provided through the PCN
- Professional Development: $5,000 in continuing education funds and licensing fee coverage via Nurses and Nurse Practitioners of BC (NNPBC)
- Loan Forgiveness: Sunshine Coast is considered a rural community and is eligible for Canada Student Loan Forgiveness (up to $40,000)
- Pender Harbour Health Centre is offering a sign-on bonus of $5,000 as well as local housing opportunities

Are you a dedicated Nurse Practitioner looking for a rewarding career in a beautiful coastal community? Join our expanding Primary Care Network, where you’ll work in a dynamic, team-based environment with clinical counselors, a pharmacist, social workers, and registered nurses. Whether you’re seeking a full-time role or part-time flexibility, we can accommodate your needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including physical exams, medical histories, and diagnostic tests.
- Develop and manage individualized treatment plans.
- Collaborate in interdisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Provide full-scope primary health care, including:
- Health promotion and illness prevention
- Management of acute and chronic illnesses
- Primary reproductive, mental health, and substance use care
- Palliative care and coordination of hospital, home, and rehabilitation services
- Manage a patient panel, starting at 400 patients in Year 1, increasing to 650 in Year 2 and 800 in Year 3 (or part-time equivalent).

Requirements
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in nursing with specialization as a Nurse Practitioner
- Current registration and licensure with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) from a recognized regulatory body
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and healthcare technology
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to patient-centered care and health equity
