Look no further, as this will be the perfect opportunity for you! The Inpatient Orthopedic and Neurosurgical Spine Nurse Practitioner is an advanced practice nursing role that provides care to both traumatic spine injuries, and those with both acute and chronic spine conditions.

This role will offer you the opportunity to integrate clinical skills to assess, diagnose, order, and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe treatment, and perform procedures to promote excellence in clinical spinal care practice. Utilizing your comprehensive knowledge base and excellent ability to work autonomously, you will develop cohesive care plans for both orthopedic and neurosurgical spine patients. This will underpin your clinical decision making to support safe and timely patient flow.

Located just north of downtown Edmonton’s beautiful Ice District, you’ll find the Royal Alexandra Hospital (RAH): a quaternary and tertiary referral hospital which has proudly served as a leader in surgical research since the 1950s! We are a Canada Accredited Trauma Service and Northern Alberta’s only level two trauma site with a catchment of over 2.5 million people.

At RAH, we support and promote our staff to not only “Use their Voice” in advocating for their patients, but also for their fellow staff members and for themselves; this dedicated effort upheld by our amazing teams, has transpired into the palpable sense of positive culture which we fondly call the RAH-Way. If a picture is worth a thousand words, a video can offer a storytelling masterpiece; so, to better grasp this strong sense of culture at the RAH, we encourage you to watch the two YouTube videos titled: Difference between Care and Caring and Difference between Care and Caring II.
