Jolene Pelletier

We would like to highlight our colleague, Jolene Pelletier, Nurse Practitioner with Correctional Services Canada. Jolene worked with CSC for 9 years as an RN before undertaking her master’s degree in the NP stream. She became an NP in 2015. Jolene was a trailblazer for Nurse Practitioner practice within the federal correctional setting. With the support of senior management and her colleagues, she implemented the first NP role within her workplace. Jolene began her work as a primary care provider improving access to primary care for her vulnerable patient population. Her services quickly demonstrated the high quality and efficient care NPs deliver and the value-added in the correctional setting. By the end of 2017, Jolene’s amazing work supported the creation of 3 other NP positions within the region, the first federal CSC NP positions in the Country. As of today, there are 5 NPs working in the Atlantic region and 14 others across the country. Thank you Jolene for your key role in advancing our profession!
