NPAC-AIIPC Conference Abstract Submission

The conference planning committee invites individuals to submit abstracts(s) for podium and poster presentations for the Nurse Practitioner Association of Canada National Conference to be held April 12-14, 2024, in Calgary, Alberta.

Conference Theme is Momentum – Nurse Practitioners Shaping the Future of Canadian Healthcare.

We invite topics relevant to nurse practitioner clinical practice, leadership, regulation, policy, education, research, and quality improvement.

The deadline for abstract submissions is February 5, 2024 23:59 PST
No abstracts submitted after this deadline will be considered.

Podium Presentation: Total presentation time of 30 minutes, including 5 minutes for questions/discussion. May have one co-presenter.

Poster Presentation: Each poster will be limited to a maximum of 4’ x 6’. Accepted presenters will be
required to be available at their poster during specific times of conference. May have more than one
co-author.

You may enter a secondary affiliation if relevant.

Presentation Type
  • Title of the Presentation, Authors, institutional affiliation and the name(s) of the co-author(s) and their institutional affiliations.
  • Abstract for each presentation (max. 300 words).

Abstracts should follow the guidelines for abstracts submitted as oral presentation papers.

All submissions should include three citations applicable to the presentation (max 100 words using APA format).
If you have more than one co-presenter or author, please list below to include them in the abstract.
You confirm all authors have grant permission to submit abstract.
Please confirm that you give us permission to publish your submission on electronic media and in hardcopy if it is accepted for presentation.
Please confirm that at least one author from each presentation will register in full to attend and present the paper at the Conference.
Do you have any conflicts of interest?

Deadline for abstract/poster presentation submissions is Monday, February 5, 2024 (pacific time).

  1. Only fully completed submissions will be forwarded to the abstract committee for review and consideration.
  2. Submissions will be blinded (all demographic information removed) prior to forwarding to committee for review.
  3. Each submission will be peer reviewed for relevance to research, knowledge exchange, creativity, clarity, innovation and applicability to nurse practitioner practice and scholarship.
  4. All costs related to presenting at conference (travel, accommodation, conference registration) are the responsibility of the presenter.
  5. Presenters are required to register for the conference.
